Are you ever craving a chai tea latte but don’t want to put forth much effort to make one? That was me today. All of the recipes I found were either more work than I had the energy for, or loaded with sugar.
Enter this simple dairy free latte.
It’s perfect for when you are craving something hot and creamy; if you are a Trim Healthy Mama just make sure you consume it with some form of protein at snack time or along with a meal (as it is not an all day sipper).
Not only is it super easy to throw together, it’s a great pick-me-up instead of coffee (if you use traditional chai and not decaf).
No special equipment is necessary, just a mug and a spoon to stir with. If you want to get extra fancy, pull out your frother or a blender, but neither are necessary for a yummy result.

Aside from the more commonly known benefits of chai and tea in general, getting off sugar while still consuming something you enjoy has great benefits – such as savoring each sip while not beating yourself up for falling off the wagon.
Each smooth, spiced sip has the bonus of being nourishing for your body instead of fattening like traditional sugar-loaded lattes.

Just think about feeling good about what you are putting in your body, while enjoying every sip. Think about how defeated and down you feel after “junk” food and drinks, and how good you feel when you treat your body to the healthy treats it deserves.
