A book about morning routines may sound boring, but Lee keeps the reader engaged with personal stories, scripture, and relate-able examples.
In fact, Lee was so convincing about the three-minute morning in Hello Mornings: How to Build a Grace-Filled Life-Giving Morning Routine that I’m already planning my own three-minute morning … and I’ve only just finished the book.
To clarify, I enjoyed this book as written and would not change the spiritual focus at all (hence why the spiritual focus is in both the category for what I did like AND the category for what I didn’t like) – it’s just sad that the focus could keep some people from gleaning from Hello Mornings.
I would definitely recommend this book to Christians struggling to build a morning routine who would like to incorporate more spiritual practices into their lives. Although the three-minute morning in Hello Mornings could be revised to not have such a highly spiritual focus, it seems that non-believers may not get as much from this book.
