You’re in luck – Book Lover’s Day is tomorrow! Not only that, but it’s a Saturday – which means more time to celebrate (for most book dragons).
Although this weekend will be far too busy to do much of that kind of celebrating over here in my household, I still have ideas to contribute to those of you who can/will celebrate tomorrow.
Borrow the ideas you like, and ignore the rest, but most of all, happy book lover’s day!!
It would be hard to celebrate without your favorite beverage, so pour (or brew) one up, grab a book (or a stack of books), and settle down for a wonderfully relaxing day (ideally).
I have lots of book recommendations over in the book gallery tab, but some of my favorite books (on that tab) to recommend are How to Weep in Public (memoir) or The Tea Planter’s Wife (historical fiction).
If you are looking more for food and beverage help while reading, I’ve got you there, too! This hot mulled apple cider can stay hot in the crockpot or on the back of the stove all day, making the house smell like you’ve been baking up a storm and keeping you warm in the chillier weather. On top of that, it makes quite a few servings, so you don’t have to keep making another beverage.
For snacks, granola is a great way to go – no residue on your hands to transfer to the pages, and the crumbs are easy to brush off. Although there are a few options over on the food gallery tab, my favorite is probably the peppermint mocha granola for flavor and ease – especially if you make it a day ahead of time (get baking)!
Are you celebrating book lover’s day this year? How are you celebrating? Let me know in the comments below!
