Avocado fans unite! This avocado smoothie is thick, creamy, dairy free, sugar free, and super easy to make. I’ve been informed that if you aren’t a coconut-avocado fan, then this probably isn’t the smoothie for you, but my husband and I loved it.
This avocado smoothie is my healthy version of a smoothie I love at our local boba place … but the purchased one has questionable ingredients.
By questionable, I mean that the ingredients listed on the shop’s website include “crusted ice” (not a typo) and “carbohydrates”. So, what am I really drinking?!
I decided to create my own, healthy version of this delicious smoothie … hence, the three ingredient avocado smoothie was born.
I have only recently become an avocado lover. For years, the look and feel of avocado fruit kept me from ever putting one in my mouth.
After slowly adding avocado to my diet, I finally tried the unhealthy version of this smoothie at the boba place. It was love at first sip. So when the cravings for this smoothie struck, I created my own personal healthy spin off!
For a lighter smoothie, you could sub out the coconut milk for almond milk, or a light coconut milk – just be warned the result is unlikely to be as smooth and creamy (or as thick).
Also, feel free to add spices and seasonings to taste. My husband preferred his smoothie with paprika. I liked mine as written. This is an easy recipe to get creative with.
As a Trim Healthy Mama S meal, this smoothie is great for a quick, easy, throw together breakfast – but I don’t recommend it all the time unless you sub out the coconut milk or use half coconut milk and half almond (or other) lighter milk.
